SUMMARY ANNUAL REPORT
FOR PACIFIC MARITIME ASSOCIATION PAID HOLIDAY PLAN
This is a summary of the annual report for the Pacific Maritime Association Paid Holiday Plan, EIN 23-7326998, Plan No. 502, for the period July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009. The annual report has been filed with the Internal Revenue Service, Employee Benefits Security Administration, and/or Department of Labor as required under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA).
Basic Financial Statement
Benefits under the plan are provided through a trust fund. Plan expenses were $47,552,517. These expenses included $44,750 in administrative expenses and $47,507,767 in benefits paid to participants and beneficiaries. A total of 13,721 persons were participants in or beneficiaries of the plan at the end of the plan year.
The value of plan assets, after subtracting liabilities of the plan, was $0 as of June 30, 2009, compared to $0 as of June 30, 2008. During the plan year, the plan experienced no change in net assets. The plan had total income of $47,552,517, including employer contributions of $47,552,517.
