2011 Maximum 401(k) Elective Deferral Contributions

The IRS sets annual calendar year maximums for elective deferrals and catch-up contributions. On October 28, 2010, the Internal Revenue Service announced that there would be no change to the limits for next year. For taxable year 2011, the limits remain as follows:

Maximum 401(k) elective deferral limit: $16,500

Maximum 401(k) Catch-Up Contribution limit: $5,500
